TLP Saad Rizvi Gives 72 Hours Ultimatum to PMLN Govt
Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) Chief Saad Hussain Rizvi has given the Pakistani government a 72-hour ultimatum to withdraw the increase in the prices of petroleum products. If the government does not comply, TLP will take action.
Pakistan government response to TLP
The Pakistani government has reached an agreement with the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) party, revoking the ban imposed on them and releasing their leader Saad Hussain Rizvi from jail in 2021. The deal was not made public and on November 7, 2021, Khan's cabinet revoked the declaration of the TLP as a banned group.
The TLP is known for its protests in opposition to any change to Pakistan's blasphemy law and demands that Sharia be established as the Islamic law. As of February 20, 2023, it is unclear what response the Pakistani government will give to TLP's ultimatum.
