5 Best Upcoming Young Talents in PSL 8 So Far

Qasim Akram is a young all-rounder who is highly revered in the PSL 8. Other young players to watch out for include Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Mohammad Haris. The 2023 Pakistan Super League draft included players such as Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Colin Munro (Mentor), Paul Stirling and Aamer Yamin. Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik have headed in opposite directions while Peshawar Zalmi has received the first supplementary round pick.

Qasim Akram

Qasim Akram is a 19-year-old all-rounder who plays for Karachi Kings in PSL 8. He was born on December 1, 2002, in Abbottabad, KPK. Qasim Akram made his Twenty20 debut on September 30, 2020, for Central Punjab in the National T20 Cup. He is a right-handed middle-order batsman and right-arm off-break spinner. Qasim Akram has expressed his desire to learn more varieties of spin from players like Imran Tahir, Shoaib Malik and Tabraiz Shamsi.

Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman is an international cricketer from Pakistan who plays for the national side and Lahore Qalandars in PSL 8. He started playing domestic cricket for team Karachi in 2012. Fakhar Zaman was picked by Lahore Qalandars in the Platinum round of the PSL 8 draft. He is keen to finish the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the tournament's best batter. 

Fakhar Zaman is part of Lahore Qalandars' squad for PSL 8 along with Abdullah Shafiq, Ahmed Daniyal, Sikandar Raza, Jalat Khan, Kamran Ghulam, Zaman Khan, Tahir Baig, Ahsan Bhatti, Dilbar Hussain and Kusal Mendis. The on-going eighth season of the Pakistan Super League will be played between February 13 and March 19, 2023.

Hasan Ali is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the national team in all formats. He made his first-class debut for Sialkot in October 2013. Hasan Ali is 28 years old and currently plays for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 8. He has a great ability to surprise any batsman with his pace and is pretty consistent with his line and length. Shadab Khan

Shadab Khan is a Pakistani international cricketer who plays for and vice-captains the Pakistan cricket team in limited overs formats. He is a prodigious turner of the ball and burst onto cricket's collective consciousness during the 2016/17 PSL season. Shadab Khan was born on October 4, 1998, in Mianwali and is currently 24 years old. He has played for Pakistan U19, Pakistan A, Islamabad United, Pakistan and Trinbago Knight Riders[3]. Haris Rauf

Haris Rauf is a Pakistani cricketer who made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in January 2020. He is 29 years and 110 days old and has played for Lahore Qalandars, Qalandars, Melbourne Stars, Pakistan A, Yorkshire and Rangpur Riders. Haris Rauf made global cricket headlines in his debut BBL 09 season by taking 20 wickets in his 10 matches, including a memorable hat trick against the Sydney Thunder.
