The Little Mermaid is an upcoming American musical fantasy film directed by Rob Marshall and set to be released on May 26, 2023. It is a live-action remake of the 1989 Walt Disney Pictures animated film of the same name. 

The movie follows a young mermaid who makes a deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince. Reviews for The Little Mermaid have not yet been released as the movie has not been released yet.

The cast of the upcoming 2023 live-action remake of The Little Mermaid includes Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina in voice roles. The movie follows Ariel's journey to follow her heart and make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula.
